Toxic Masculinity..

Wearing Pearl Necklaces, wearing beautiful and cute rings, wearing a gorgeous dress, wearing dangling earrings and painting nails. These are the characteristics of women right? Ohh! I forgot about dyeing hair with stunning colours.

I sometimes feel how glad I am to be born in a century in which I can wear pantsuits, jeans and shirts and every kind of clothing, but at the same time, I feel disgusted to be in the same century where there are some characteristics attributed to women and men. We call ourselves open-minded, modern and what not even though we aren't. A man wears a dress for a photoshoot and he is then criticised for looking good in that dress. I just need to ask *why are we so toxic*.

In the medieval era, kings and princes used to wear dresses that are now called Anarkali in India and are now mostly worn by women. So, does that mean that kings and princes in the medieval era were transgenders? I come across many people who criticize K-pop these days and I am completely okay if they criticize them for their music but instead of criticizing them for their music people criticize them for their preferences which is quite incomprehensible (this is just one example out of many). If an artist presents her/his art then that person isn't inviting you to look into her/his life, or for judging their preferences. If they are presenting their art in front of us then the only thing that is valid for us to do is to judge them on their art (here by judging I mean to look if you like that art or not, this doesn't mean you will make fun of the artist or the people who like that artist).

Today (in 2021) this issue is like a never ending topic, there is no solution towards this except for realising from the core of our heart if we are on the right side or not.

We can not change others but what we can change is just how we perceive and behave and I guess, changing ourselves is the only way to change others (obviously no guarantee coz human race is a peculiar race)
